In high school I attended Votech specifically Lancaster County Career Technology Center where I trained in Construction/Carpentry. During my time there I was part of their co-op program which allows you to get a job in the field of your training for credit at school, which is how I got my job at HiConcrete where I learned how to pour and finish concrete parking garage structures as well as learning how to make the forms for them and work with the rebar cages that are inside of the concrete. That all led me to also doing all kinds of construction related stuff for my friends and family, which is where I have part of my hands on experience with electrical work, plumbing work, HVAC, flooring, and drywall work which is also stuff I learned and did at Votech. Conveniently I also learned about installing garage doors in Votech since we had a semi finished house from the years prior to us and that house needed garage doors at one point. I also earned two OSHA certifications during my training for 10 general industry and 10 hour construction industry.
